Quantum Leap Buzz organizes results into Topics and Themes.  The example results (obama) show that at this specific time interval, Buzz collected 2,500 Tweets and 1,000 Posts.

Looking at the Summary of results for Twitter, Buzz indicates that 2326 different people were tweeting about "obama healthcare" between 12:14am and 10:29pm pn July 1, 2012.  Buzz identified and organized the results into 4 topics:
1. ups support
2. obamacare
3. law rises
4. tcot

The first Topic "ups support" only has 1 Theme associated with it.  716 people contributed 830 Tweets about the theme "Ruling ups support for Obama healthcare, still unpopular..."

The word pattern associated with this theme is "obama, healthcare, ups support, ruling ups"

Scrolling down to Topic 2 "obamacare" we see the first 3 of 6 Themes for this Topic.

The green, gray and red bars indicate the overall sentiment of the tweets.  You can see that the first theme under the topic "obamacare" has an overwhemlingly negative sentiment, as indicated by the red bar, whereas the second theme is highly positive.

You can sort the themes by relevance and number of tweets/posts by clicking the sort button sort

As for Facebook, the same search for "obama healthcare" identified 5 different topics:
1. time
2. called
3. american
4. country
5. america 

Looking at the Topic "time" in this example, we see there were 14 Themes. 

The first theme had 12 people talking about it and included 6 posts.  Buzz shows you the common words that make up the theme - in this case all the posts in this theme included the words "obama, healthcare, time, covreage"

SEARCH FOR RELATED CONTENT ON THE WEB
An exciting feature of Buzz is the ability to take themes and search for additional content through popular search engines. Click the engines icon on the right of the theme you are interested in exploring further.  Select Google, Bing or Facebook. Buzz will take the keywords associated with that theme and enter them into a Google search, for instance.



You can also select "Manage search engines..."

Here you can add other search engines. To do this, see the example below:

EXAMPLE: Add Yahoo as a Search Engine
  1. Add the name of the search engine, in this case Yahoo.

  2. Go to Yahoo and do any search.  In this example we searched for "software".  Copy the URL from your search:

    http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=Ai792K23VJK1PSPo64GbbPibvZx4?p=software&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701

  3. Replace the word "software" in the URL with {PATTERN}

    http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=Ai792K23VJK1PSPo64GbbPibvZx4?p={PATTERN}&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701

  4. Enter this URL into the box.  Click OK.  You should now see Yahoo added to the drop down menu when you click engines
